In the Breeze
Laundry. We all have it. I've seen laundry hanging on Maine porches in the dead of winter. I've seen it draped over the lines of sailboats, suspended over the streets of Venice, and reeled over the alleys of Philadelphia.
Laundry is one of life's free pleasures. I did this painting because laundry brings me joy. Joy when I hang it in the sunshine, joy when I stand at the kitchen sink and watch it flutter in the breeze and joy when I take it down and press it to my face smelling the fresh air and sunshine, Finally, joy at night when I rest my head on the pillow.
